With rapid growth, the new church soon outgrew the YMCA, even with two morning services. The tight quarters prompted the purchase of 80 prime acres of property adjacent to the Bristol Speedway that includes a house currently being used for staff offices. The sharply reduced price of the property was seen as Providential confirmation.

Groundbreaking for their building was celebrated in June and construction got underway. Discovery is on track to open their new new building on or around Easter of this year. The first phase of the building features a 600 seat auditorium, a guest-friendly cafe and lobby, children’s and youth wings, and a parking lot specially designed to host car and RV parking for the two big NASCAR races each year.
